Oki Matsumoto
Executive Chairperson
Oki Matsumoto is an Executive Director, and Executive Chairperson, of Coincheck Group, and also serves as a managing director of Coincheck, Inc. He is also the founder and Chairman of the Board of Monex Group, and holds directorship positions with several of Monex Group’s subsidiaries. Mr. Matsumoto also currently serves as an outside director of Mastercard, Incorporated (since 2016) and as a board member emeritus of Human Rights Watch. Mr. Matsumoto served as an outside director of the Tokyo Stock Exchange from 2008 to 2013 and is a former member of the Financial Counsel to the Prime Minister of Japan. He began his career at Salomon Brothers, then joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. (1990-1998), where he held several leadership positions, including General Partner (1994-1998), before he founded Monex, Inc., a Japanese online brokerage firm (and a predecessor company to Monex Group), in 1999. Mr. Matsumoto has a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Tokyo.
Pascal St-Jean
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Pascal St-Jean is the CEO of Coincheck Group N.V. (NASDAQ: CNCK), a global digital asset company spanning Japan's leading retail crypto exchange, institutional prime brokerage, and regulated crypto ETFs, and CEO of 3iQ Digital Asset Management, Canada's first regulated digital asset fund manager. Since 2021, he has scaled 3iQ from a Canadian fund manager into a global platform — leading its strategic partnership with Japan's Monex Group, launching some of North America's first Solana Staking and XRP spot ETFs, and building QMAP, the world's first digital assets managed account platform. He has driven landmark partnerships including a sovereign-backed hedge fund with Abu Dhabi's Further Ventures and one of the first actively managed multi-crypto ETFs with Scotiabank's Dynamic Funds. A Computer Engineering graduate, Forty Under 40 recipient, and crypto investor since 2016, Pascal is a regular speaker at Consensus, SALT, and leading industry forums.
Jason Sandberg
Chief Financial Officer
Jason Sandberg is the Chief Financial Officer of Coincheck Group N.V. Prior to joining Coincheck Group N.V., Mr. Sandberg was a Managing Director at Thunder Bridge Capital, LLC. At Thunder Bridge Capital, LLC, he was primarily responsible for the evaluation and analysis of equity investment opportunities for the Thunder Bridge platform as well as providing transaction support from a regulatory, compliance and due diligence perspective for merger candidates. Mr. Sandberg previously worked as a Partner with Grant Thornton, LLP from 2013 through 2021. He served as an Audit Partner and was the Atlantic Coast Financial Services Practice leader. He also spent time as a Partner in the Firm’s National Professional Standards Group, focused on risk management for the firm’s high-profile public and private clients. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Temple University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
Toshihiko Katsuya
Chief Operating Officer and Director
Toshihiko Katsuya is an Executive Director of Coincheck Group, and has also served as its Chief Operating Officer since October 1, 2025. From December 10, 2024 through September 23, 2025, he served as a Non-Executive Director of Coincheck Group. Mr. Katsuya served as President & CEO at Aruhi Corporation (currently SBI Aruhi Corporation), a leading Japanese mortgage bank listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, from April 2022 until June 2024, after joining in 2021. Before that, from 2006 to 2020, Mr. Katsuya worked for 15 years in various positions at Monex Group, including as President of Monex FX, Inc. in 2010, President of Monex Securities in 2015, COO of Monex Group in 2017, President of Coincheck, Inc. from 2018 to 2019, and CFO of Monex Group in 2019. Before Monex Group he worked for The Mitsubishi Bank, Ltd. (currently MUFG Bank, Ltd.) for 17 years, from 1989 to 2006, where he held various positions, including senior manager of Corporate Planning Division and VP of Investment Banking Division for the Americas. Mr. Katsuya also assumed the positions of Director of Financial Futures Association of Japan in 2017 and Director of Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association in 2019. Mr. Katsuya holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Tokyo.
Marc Stone
Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Company Secretary
Marc Stone has been Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Company Secretary of Coincheck Group since June 1, 2025, after having performed corporate legal services for the Company from March 1 to May 31, 2025. Prior to that, from 2001-2024, he served as Chief Legal Officer and a board member (2016-2024) of TradeStation Group, Inc. (Monex Group’s U.S. subsidiary since June 2011 and, from January 2000 until acquired by Monex Group in 2011, a Nasdaq-listed company – Nasdaq: TRAD). TradeStation Group is the parent company of U.S. self-clearing online brokerage firms that over the years have offered stock, options, futures, forex and cryptocurrency trading platforms for self-directed traders, and at TradeStation Mr. Stone oversaw the Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, and Internal Audit departments. From May 1997 until January 2000, Mr. Stone served as General Counsel for Omega Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: OMGA), a trading analysis software company. Prior to joining Omega Research he was co-head of the corporate department at Bilzin Sumberg, a leading Miami full-service law firm, working in the corporate department at that firm from 1985 until May 1997. Mr. Stone has his bachelor’s degree from Brown University and his law degree from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Berkeley Law), and is a member of the bar in New York and Florida.
Yo Nakagawa
Chief Planning Officer and Director
Yo Nakagawa is an Executive Director, and Chief Planning Officer, of Coincheck Group. He is also a Senior Executive Director of Monex Group and an Expert Director of Coincheck, Inc., as well as a Director of Monex International Limited (Hong Kong) (since 2013). Prior to joining Monex Group, Mr. Nakagawa served as a Director at Mimura Strategic Partners (2005-2011) and as Chief Operating Officer at Fujimaki Japan (2003-2004). Mr. Nakagawa began his career at JP Morgan in 1988. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University in Japan.
Satoshi Hasuo
Chief Stakeholder Officer
Satoshi Hasuo is Chief Stakeholder Officer of Coincheck Group, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Coincheck Group until October 1, 2025, as well as Chairman, Representative Director and Executive Director of Coincheck, Inc. He started his career at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan in 1993. Then, after working at UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Securities Co., Ltd., he joined Monex Group in May 2005. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Monex Group in October 2017, and served in that position until 2019. In November 2019, Mr. Hasuo joined Coincheck, Inc., and was named Chairman, Representative Director & Executive Officer in June 2024.
